I arrived save and sound in Melbourne this morning at 6:00am.  My room will not be ready until 12:30, so I am wandering around an area of cafes like night of the living dead for 6 hours.

 

I got a SIM chip here - it was free - and calls to the USA are only $0.029 per minute, so we will be able to talk for a while.   The country code 61 (I think - pls double check), my number is 4388 96685.

 

We are trying to work out a mother's day calling plan - not sure if I can call during the dinner, but we will figure it out.

 

Eastern Australia (where I will be the whole time) is 14 hours ahead of CFO - so, if it is 6:00pm Monday in CFO, it is 8:00am Tuesday here.
